Dancing with the Common Folk...

Holy crap Gleb that was a close one....

For some reason after seeing Gleb on DWTS and our confirmed "friendship" status on Facebook I have decided that this new series of blogs will be dedicated to the newest amazing dancer Gleb Savchenko.  Why, because that's what is making me smile this week. Oh and this below, not only are we "facebook friends" he even likes my status.

I was on the edge of my seat with Gleb in the final 2.  Way to soon for this newbie to have to be sent home, would have been upsetting for him and disastrous for all of us!!!  As you can tell the new dancers need time to establish themselves and build their fan base since the bottom two was both new dancers.  I was sad to see the lovely Dorothy Hamill go home but thankfully that saved Gleb to dance another dance.

He had an amazing dance with the professionals and the new troupe dancers. I got to tell you watching this show makes me daydream about being able to dance.  As anyone who knows me I dance as well as Elaine from Seinfeld. (except of course in my own mind after a couple of cocktails)!!  Then of course I have all the confidence in the world.  Which brings me to what I dreamed about last night.  Instead of Dancing With The Stars, it was professional dancers dancing with us common folk, just ordinary people wanting to learn just 1 dance.  Then this dance would follow us around everywhere we went, weddings, sweet sixteens, the bar on a Saturday night.  One week, one dance with one amazing teacher and I would be Cha Chaing my ass off.  Just to be clear Gleb was my partner. Then I woke up.

My lovely 5 year old daughter takes ballet, tape & gymnastics and I pray to the DWTS gods that she doesn't take after me and has the talent to gracefully float across the dance floor.

Now since Gleb has been saved for another week time to spread the word and get votes, votes & more votes!!!  As with anything this is a new beginning for him in being in DWTS and another reason to make Mondays seem bearable.

Go Gleb!!!

P.S. So Gleb when your run on DWTS is over NY is a cool place to give a girl a dance lesson :)  A girl can dream can't she.

Mondays just got so much sweeter...Welcome Gleb!

As I have said 98% of my blogs are fluff stuff things that make me laugh, smile or want to elbow someone in the face.  My blogging of The Bachelor/ette series is nothing more than a guilty pleasure and some comedic relief.

Since Sean's season ended and I heard he would be on DWTS I decided to watch and see how our Sean would fair in the dancing world.  Well once Mr. Gleb Savchenko filled my screen I was like "Sean who"?  Not only is Gleb lovely to look at he actually made me laugh as well which wins you huge points in my book.  I have no idea who this Lisa lady is but she made me grin as well.

Being the total social media loser that I am what was my next instinct...see if Gleb had a facebook page to like.  Well to my delight not only did he have a page he also accepted friends.  Holy shit my lucky day. I feverishly hit the friend request button and held on with baited breath.  Not to long later I received the following...

Well since Gleb and I are now officially BFF I will be watching & rooting for my good friend!!!

Go Gleb!!!

The final rose goes to....

CATHERINE!!

Oh so bittersweet, kind of feels like graduation and we are all going our separate ways.  Well hold up not so fast after Sean declared his love & proposed to Catherine we thought this was the end.  Well are journey with Sean isn't quite complete since it was announced the Sean & Catherine's wedding will be televised.  Bonus Sean will appear on DWTS - welcome back Sean.

I'm not going to rehash 3 hours of the finale because I just don't care THAT much.  Back in Thailand Sean's family comes to "help" him make the most difficult decision of his life.  Best part of his family the little tyke who reminded Sean that Emily didn't choose him last season & Sean's dad.  I have to admit I did get a tad weepy at how sincere and sweet this man was.

At this point my SIL Laura who was in charge of the controller since we had DVR'd the beginning accidentally pressed a wrong button.  Panic ensued, screaming, cursing with the fear that we were going live and basically were missing the whole show.  We calmed down a minute and 5 grown adults were able to figure out how to get back.  After some apologies to Laura for the verbal thrashing she took in that instant we were back in business. Phew!!!

Both Catherine & Lindsey's meeting with Sean's family went smooth and one girl did not stand out. Sean was still feeling that he was torn between both woman and could not make a decision.  Sean has one more date with each girl before he had to send one packing.  Lindsey has come a long way, I think she is very normal and feel like her & Sean come from similar backgrounds.  Catherine & Sean have a connection that I saw weeks ago, you can just see the difference in Sean's face when he is with her.  She turns into a blubbering mess when he says goodbye to her.

At the "Main Event"  the girls put on their gowns ( a bit of foreshadowing with the gold & silver???)  I think Lindsey looks amazing, just beautiful enough to get her heart handed over to her.  She arrives first and we all know what this means...  Sean really doesn't have a good explanation for her just that he loves her but basically is "in love" with Catherine. I think Lindsey handled herself with class, but man what a shitty place to be.

In the moment that they were advertising for weeks the "letter", Chris hands in over to a sweaty & teary Sean. A ridiculous love note from Catherine. Big letdown. Catherine shows up looking like an Oscar, Sean tells her he loves her, gets on bended knee, gives her the Neil Lane ring, they kiss, and ride off into the sunset on a elephant.  That's how my proposal happened too, memories.

After The Final Rose

Sean & Catherine are still together and will be getting married live on TV.  This will apparently be happening quickly since Sean has been saving himself for his bride.  Ahhh sweet, I think.

It was also announced that Desiree is the new Bachelorette.  She would not have been my first choice but I will no doubt be watching & blogging.

Sad that the season is over but will be watching Sean make a fool of himself on DWTS.

On a side note I will be heading to Philly tomorrow to celebrate Ally's Bachelorette Party.  St. Patty's Day bar crawl through the streets of Philly.  I have a feeling this weekend will earn its own blog.

This is my motto for the weekend...
